The people who approve of the “Green New Deal” are at it again. They want to put a limit on how many miles you are allowed to drive. They want to limit drilling and fracking. It seems they want to get rid of all fossil fuels (oil).
If you look at the history of this country, you will see that oil was and still is the lifeblood of this country. The turn of the 20th century brought on a new age of progress in many different areas, such as automotive, industry, medicine, and new and better products made of plastic which comes from oil.
Cars today are made with a large amount of oil-derived products, such as plastic, wires, bumpers, seats, and on and on.
Plastics have greatly improved the health industry with items that could not be made with any other materials at a reasonable price and create enough quantity to meet needs. Such as tubing, syringes, packaging for blood, medicine, etc.
Also, plastic products have made our life and home more comfortable, and enjoyable. Just look around your home and your car to see the comforts that oil-based products have contributed. There are too many items to list.
These nut jobs want to limit or end the production of oil. These products are not only useful but beneficial as well to our society. One of the items that will suffer will be classic cars, they are looked upon as non-essential. The classic vehicles will be taxed to the hilt as luxury items.
So, I say, “Hands off our cars” and pay attention to what is going on in Washington, DC, and protest any stoppage to fossil fuel production.
Keep them Rolling! Bil
